Rinki ecopoint
There is a Rinki ecopoint near the southern roundabout of Ideapark (in the parking area). It has compactors for plastic packaging and cardboard and containers for collecting glass, small metal items and paper. There are also Fida and Salvation Army clothing banks in the area. More detailed recycling instructions can be found at www.rinkiin.fi/en/. Used batteries can be taken to the stores that sell them: Prisma, Minimani or Clas Ohlson, or the Ideapark information point.
WEEE collection point of Tomra
Tomra’s WEEE (waste electrical and electronic equipment) collection point is located next to the bottle return of Prisma in Ideapark. Here, you can bring your eL and LED lamps, tubular lamps, batteries, small accumulators and small electrical appliances. Read more here.
Collection points for textiles and end-of-life textiles
Fida’s collection box is located at the A end of Ideapark, where you can bring unwanted clothes or small items that are clean and in good condition. Pirkanmaan Jätehuolto provides collection points for end-of-life textiles at the A and D ends of Ideapark.
Recycling services provided by shops in Ideapark
H&M: You can donate unwanted textiles to the H&M store (checkout). The store accepts textiles of all brands and conditions. Textiles that are in good condition and still usable will be recycled and reused. Textiles that cannot be re-worn will be turned into other products, such as recycled collections or cleaning cloths. Iittala: Give your dishes a new life with the Vintage service! Bring your unwanted dishes to the store for sale or browse our changing selection of Vintage items. Read more here.
KappAhl: KappAhl accepts undamaged, dry and clean clothes, home textiles, accessories and shoes of all brands. Recyclables can be delivered to the store in sealed, regular-sized plastic bags, which will be rewarded with a €5 voucher per bag. The voucher can be used for a single purchase of a minimum of €30 at the normal price and it is valid for three months. The collection is carried out in partnership with Fretex International. Kultatukku: Kultatukku recycles all precious metal items, such as jewellery, silver/gold watches, silverware and gold teeth, and broken, unstamped and foreign precious metal. We also buy designer bronze. In addition, we sell recycled second-hand jewellery and silverware.
Partioaitta: You can donate clean textiles and footwear to Partioaitta for recycling. Partioaitta works in partnership with I:Collect. Read more here.
Stadium: The re:activate collection campaign with Human Bridge helps give new life to products that customers no longer need. Stadium accepts all kinds of workout gear and clothing, including worn and damaged items. Suitable items will be donated to those in need. You can drop off your unwanted gear in the collection box at Stadium. This allows you to give someone a chance for a better life and also help conserve natural resources.
