Responsible Partner and Employer

We continuously develop our working and operating environment

Ideapark has more than 165 stores, offices and operators, with a total of more than 1,000 jobs. As the property owner, we do our best to develop public safety and the working environment. Our responsibility is to provide tenants and their employees with good chances to succeed on our premises.

We ensure that everyone working in the property can do so in safe and good conditions, the foundation of which is in equality and non-discrimination.

The success of Ideapark depends decisively on the satisfaction of each actor and their employees. It is communicated to the customer as a good customer experience.

Our concrete actions include:

  • It is easy to move around in Ideapark. The shopping centre has no thresholds, and the corridors are wide.
  • Ideapark offers free wheelchairs and electric scooters for customers to use.
  • There are parking spaces for those with reduced mobility near the main entrances.
  • Each toilet facility also has a free accessible toilet.
  • Those working in Ideapark have the opportunity to influence common issues, for example, through a trader association or feedback channels found on the intranet.
  • Every year, we create a green paper and yellow pages, which are distributed to shops and partners. They provide plenty of tips and instructions related to everyday life and a list of Ideapark events, campaigns and marketing opportunities so that shops can take full advantage of them.
  • The Ideapark safety programme is intended for everyone working in the building. Everyone has the opportunity to participate in safety training. This ensures a safe working environment for everyone.
  • Different safety-related training events are provided free of charge every year for those working in Ideapark. This guarantees that everyone has a safe working environment. These trainings include safety training for new employees, orientation sessions for summer workers, first aid training and first-aid extinguishing training.
  • Ideapark has a rescue team that takes action in any exceptional situations. The rescue team practises and revisits the evacuation process annually.
  • Ideapark is a flexible and responsible employer and landlord.
  • The owners of Ideapark are Finnish. The company complies with Finnish law, collective agreements and the company’s code of conduct and pays taxes in Finland.
  • More than 1,000 people work directly in our facilities and hundreds do it indirectly.
  • We also require responsibility from all our partners. We aim for long-term and domestic partnerships.
  • Ideapark complies with its own code of conduct.
